Dr. Russell Sclafani, DDS, MD

Dr. Russell Sclafani, a native of Michigan from Clinton Township, is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. In 2001, Dr. Sclafani graduated from Oakland University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then attended the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, where he served as class president.
Following dental school, he practiced as a general dentist for one year before completing an Internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the John D. Dingell Veterans Affairs Hospital. He then completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency through St. John Providence Hospital Health System, earning his Medical Degree (MD) from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 2011. Following medical school, he completed a full internship in General Surgery and concluded his comprehensive surgical training in 2013. He maintains hospital privileges at St. John Hospital.
Dr. Sclafani practices all aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, including dentoalveolar procedures, dental implants, and facial trauma, with a dedicated focus in sports dentistry. Outside the surgical suite, Dr. Sclafani is married with two sons and treasures spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Jeff C. Knorr, DDS, MSBA
🏆 “Top Doc” 2007 · “Top Dentist” 2008–2022
Dr. Knorr completed his dental degree at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1981 and completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Georgetown University Hospital in 1984. Following successful completion of the State of Michigan Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Specialty Licensing examination, he and his wife returned home to start a family and to enter private practice. Family life provided them with two daughters. One daughter is now a General Dentist in Davison and the other sought a degree in Equine Sciences and is currently providing riding instruction while working in the office. Dr. Knorr returned to Madonna University in 1994 and attained an MSBA in the Medical and Dental Fellows MSBA program.
His private practice evolved from 1985 into a multi-office, full scope Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice with locations across Macomb County. In September of 2014, he embarked on a solo practice as Anchor Bay Oral Surgery, P.C. in New Baltimore, MI. In 2022, he merged the practice with Summit Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, PC. In 2022, he stepped back from patient care issues and focused on administrative roles and developed a digital implant program.
He has moved on with Signature Oral Surgery in an adjunctive administrative capacity, continuing work in digital implant planning and developing Telehealth options for Signature Oral Surgery. He maintains staff privileges at St. John Macomb Hospital and St. John Rochester Hospital. He has been identified by his peers as a “Top Doc” in 2007 and a “Top Dentist” in 2008 through 2022 in Detroit Hour and Stylene Magazines.
